Clearing and Settlement Systems
Depósito Centralizado de Valores (Deceval in Spanish)
Through an integrated operational framework, the depository immobilizes or dematerializes physical certificates, converting them into electronic book-entry records to facilitate swift and secure post-trade processing.
Once a trade is executed in the market, the clearing and settlement process guarantees that the buyer receives the securities and the seller receives the corresponding funds under a Delivery versus Payment (DVP) model.
Within this framework, Deceval performs the following core functions: Transaction Clearing and Settlement. Deceval clears and settles transactions for securities held under its local or international custody and administration.
Depósito Centralizado de Valores (DCV in Spanish)
Clears and settles securities under its administration and custody, corresponding to internal or external public debt securities or securities issued by the Central Bank.
Bolsa de Valores de Colombia (Nuam in Spanish)
Clears and settles transactions on fixed-income securities traded on MEC.
